Let's talk about water 💧
Is washing your lashes good or bad ?
Well to give the right answer we should consider all the factors 📝
Your technician usually says to avoid water right after the procedure or up to 24 hours, does this mean that you should not wash your extensions in general?
Of course not, first couple hours after the procedure the glue continues to cure, and excess of water may play the bad trick with the lash retention. If you know that your technician will ask you to avoid direct contact with water for more that 4 hours, please come to the appointment prepared - remove all the makeup, make sure that you won't need to wash your hair right after the procedure, postpone your swimming class or stay away from the pool while attending pool parties 🎉 after that you absolutely NEED to wash your lashes and keep them clean. And here is why: improper cleansing of your extensions and eyelids can cause number of problems such as inflammation, itchiness and irritation of the eyelids, dirt and oil build up will shorten the retention time for your extensions, poor hygiene is a main cause of eyelash mites 😰 so this being said, washing your eyelashes and extensions is actually a good thing! First, removing the oil and makeup build up will help to keep your eyelids clean and lashes healthy, second, it will help to maintain your extensions in a good condition and prolong the retention 💕
