Let’s be honest, when it comes to eyelash extensions, we want them to stay as long as possible without needing a touch up.

Technician

1) Preparation of the natural lash. No secret that technician should work with clean lashes, we run run all day collecting dust and debris onto our lashes. Other than that our sweat and oil glands work without rest all day long, and yes, our eyelids also have those. So even if you don’t see makeup residue or any visible debris - doesn’t mean it’s not there!

• Clean lashes with shampoo or use makeup remover;

• After that use water or saline solution to remove any residue of the products used before

• Only now it’s time to prime

2) Choosing the right materials. Lash thickness and length will pay crucial role in the longevity of the sleek and tidy look of a eyelash extension set. Remember excessive weight or length will result in shorter retention time.

3) Working with the adhesive. Choose adhesive that is compatible with your primer, glue activator etc. If you are not sure how to check comparability, ask me!

• Find adhesive that will work perfectly in your work environment

• Do not disturb the glue bond by unnecessary brushing; brush extensions only when the set is complete

Client

Lash aftercare: as mentioned before our skin produces oil and sweat consistently, it is important to keep lashes clean to get the most of the life of your extensions.

• follow the instructions of your technician and do not touch or get your lashes wet for as many hours as directed by your lash artist

• after that go ahead and wash your face as usual, allowing water to run through your lashes and clean them

• if you use makeup, remove it thoroughly with non-oily based makeup remover ( Micellar water, eyelash shampoo or foam cleanser), rinse lashes couple times with tap water to make sure all makeup residue removed

• brush your lashes daily to prevent tangling

🙃Last but not least, I suggest using disposable lip gloss applicators to apply shampoo or makeup remover, they are lint free and will not catch on the extensions
